Wellhub provides your Activity and Billing Statement, but final approval is up to your health insurance provider. Your Activity & Billing Statement shows Wellhub workouts only (in person gym/studio check-ins and virtual live classes); third-party apps aren’t included.

How do I know if I qualify for reimbursement?

Check with your health insurance provider. Many major plans offer reimbursement if you meet a minimum number of gym visits (e.g., 35 visits in 6 months) and provide the required documentation. Just note: your reimbursement only covers what you personally paid for your Wellhub subscription — you won’t automatically receive the full amount your insurer may offer if your actual spend is lower.  

What do I need to submit?

You’ll need an Activity & Billing Statement, which you can request directly through the Wellhub app. This report includes your check-in and payment history. Requirements vary. Check with your provider.

How much and how often can I get reimbursed?

It depends on your health plan. Some insurers reimburse quarterly, while others do so once or twice a year. Reimbursement is limited to the amount you personally paid — even if your insurer offers a higher cap. For example, if your Wellhub subscription costs $180 for the quarter and your insurer offers up to $250, you’ll only be eligible to claim $180. Be sure to review your insurer’s guidelines for exact details on eligibility, timing, and documentation.

What activities count towards reimbursement?

Your Activity & Billing Statement will only reflect workouts tracked through Wellhub—like in-person gym/studio check-ins and live virtual classes taken in the Wellhub app. Activity from third-party or wellness apps won’t appear in your statement.

Does Wellhub submit my claim for me?

No. Wellhub provides the Activity & Billing Statement, but you’re responsible for submitting the claim and any required documentation directly to your insurance provider.

Can I request a report for my spouse or dependent?

No. The Activity & Payment Summary Report is only available to the primary account holder. Employees can only access and submit data tied to their own Wellhub subscription. Reports for family members or dependents are not supported.

Where do I find the report and when will I get it?

You can request your report directly in the app. Just go to Settings > Subscriptions > Activity & Billing Statement, then follow the steps to select the time frame you’d like to cover. We’ll pull the data from that period and email you a link to download your Statement.
