What does it mean to be able to pay with my HSA/FSA?

If you qualify through Truemed, you can use your pre-tax HSA/FSA funds for your Wellhub subscription. Since these funds aren't taxed, your money goes further, typically saving you 30-40%* compared to a regular payment method. It's a smarter way to invest in your well-being.

How does the process with Truemed work?

At checkout, you'll complete a quick eligibility form through Truemed. A licensed provider reviews your request, and if approved, you'll receive an approval letter within 2–4 hours. This confirms your Wellhub subscription supports your health, making it HSA/FSA eligible. Your HSA/FSA provider may email you to request this letter—just upload it when prompted to complete the process. (Note: Eligibility is determined by Truemed, not Wellhub.)

How will I know if I’m eligible?

You may be eligible if your condition qualifies. Visit Truemed’s website for full details on what’s covered.  

Can I use my HSA/FSA if I already have a Wellhub subscription?

Currently, HSA/FSA payments are only available to new users or those upgrading their plan. We’re working on expanding this feature, and hope to make it available to all users soon.

Does my letter of approval expire? Will I need to go through the process again?

Yes, your Letter of Medical Necessity is valid for 12 months. If you want to continue using your HSA/FSA to pay for Wellhub, you’ll need to request a new eligibility verification through Truemed within 30 days of your current letter’s expiration. If your LMN expires and HSA/FSA is still your selected payment method, your Wellhub account will be temporarily suspended until you either update your letter or choose a different payment method. For more details on the medical necessity qualification process, visit the Truemed website.

What if I don’t have enough funds in my HSA/FSA to cover the full cost of Wellhub?

No problem—you’ll have the option to split your payment, using your HSA/FSA for part of the cost and a regular credit or debit card for the rest. If you choose to pay fully with HSA/FSA and your account runs out of funds, your Wellhub subscription will be temporarily suspended until you add funds, update your payment method, or switch to a split payment option.

How are payments managed for my Wellhub account?

Once approved, your HSA/FSA payments are automatic; no claims or reimbursements are needed. You can update or cancel your payment method anytime in your Wellhub account settings.

Will I still be charged tax if I use HSA/FSA to pay?

Yes, sales tax still applies based on your location.

Can I use my HSA/FSA to pay for family members?

No, HSA/FSA payments are only valid for the primary account holder.
